What is AI Borta?

AI Borta is a conversational ordering platform for restaurants. You connect your own WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS, or Telegram accounts — customers send a message, the AI takes their order, and the ticket appears on your kitchen board in real time.

Do I need technical skills to set up AI Borta?

No. Setup takes under 10 minutes for most restaurants. You need no coding, no developer, and no API knowledge. Connect WhatsApp via one click, upload your menu, and you're live.

Do I need a credit card to try AI Borta?

No credit card is required to start your 14-day free trial. You get full access to every feature from day one. Payment details are only needed if you decide to continue after the trial.

What does "plugin model" mean?

AI Borta never owns your customer relationships. Your customers always message your real WhatsApp number, your real Instagram — AI Borta acts in the background to parse and process orders. You keep your accounts and your data.

Channels & integrations

Which channels does AI Borta support?

WhatsApp Business, Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger, SMS (via Twilio or an Android gateway), Telegram (your own bot token), and TikTok comment-to-DM. All channels land in one shared inbox.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business API account?

Yes — you connect via Meta's official Business API through Embedded Signup. The process is guided and takes about 3 minutes. You need a Facebook Business Manager account.

Does AI Borta integrate with my POS?

Square POS is supported today — orders push automatically and you can import your Square menu into AI Borta. Other POS integrations (Clover, Loyverse) are available. Contact us for others.

Can customers pay online through the bot?

Yes. AI Borta uses Stripe Connect — customers pay by card inside the chat. The payment goes directly to your connected Stripe account. We charge no per-transaction fee.

Ordering & menu

What languages does the bot support?

The chatbot supports English and Spanish natively, with additional language support for French, Arabic, Portuguese, and more. The bot auto-detects the language your customer writes in and replies in the same language.

Can I add modifiers and sizes to menu items?

Yes. Each item can have multiple modifier groups (e.g. "Choose your protein", "Add toppings") with individual options, prices, and level settings (little / normal / extra). Sizes (S/M/L) are also supported.

What if a customer types something the bot doesn't understand?

The bot flags the conversation and notifies a staff member via push notification. You can reply manually from the inbox while the bot steps aside. You can also add any question to the FAQ training section so the bot handles it next time.

Can I take delivery orders and pickup orders?

Yes. The bot asks the customer whether they want delivery, pickup, or dine-in. For delivery, it collects and validates their address using geocoding. For dine-in, it can capture their table number.

Billing & plans

How are "orders" counted?

Any order confirmed through AI Borta counts toward your monthly limit, regardless of channel. Cancelled-before-confirmation conversations do not count.

What happens when I hit my order limit?

The bot pauses new orders and sends you a notification. Orders already in progress are not affected. Upgrade your plan in Settings → Billing to resume immediately.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Monthly plans cancel any time with no penalty — you keep access until the end of your billing period. Annual plans are pre-paid and non-refundable after 30 days, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time.

Are there setup fees or transaction fees?

No setup fees, ever. No per-order or per-transaction fee from AI Borta. If you take card payments through Stripe, Stripe's standard processing fee applies (typically 2.9% + 30¢) directly to your Stripe account.

Privacy & security

Who owns the customer data?

You do. AI Borta stores customer data (name, phone, order history) in your restaurant's account. You can export or delete it at any time. We never sell or share your customer data.

How are channel tokens stored?

All WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. They are never exposed in API responses or logs.

Is AI Borta GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Data is stored in encrypted databases, customer data can be deleted on request, and we maintain a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for business customers. Contact us to request a DPA.
