  1. Upload your logo and cover photo
  2. Set your address, hours, and cuisine type

Connect WhatsApp Business

The most popular ordering channel โ€” set up takes about 3 minutes.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Channels โ†’ WhatsApp
  2. Click "Connect via Meta Business Suite"
  3. Approve the permissions and select your WhatsApp Business number
  4. Send a test message from your phone to confirm the green tick
  5. Optionally enable the "Quick Reply" buttons for common orders

Add Instagram DM

Accept orders from DMs and story replies without switching apps.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Channels โ†’ Instagram
  2. Link your Instagram Business account through Meta
  3. Enable "Message Control Protocol" in your IG professional settings
  4. Test by sending a DM to your own account
  5. Story reply orders are captured automatically

Enable SMS (optional)

Reach customers who prefer texting over apps.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Channels โ†’ SMS
  2. Either connect your own Twilio account (cheapest) or use a free Android phone as a gateway
  3. Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token
  4. Purchase a local number in Twilio โ€” typically $1.15/month
  5. All inbound texts route straight into your AI Borta inbox

Connect Messenger & others

Every extra channel is a few clicks from your Facebook Page.

  1. Messenger: link your Facebook Page in Settings โ†’ Channels
  2. Telegram: create a bot via @BotFather, paste the token
  3. TikTok: connect your creator account โ€” comments containing order keywords auto-trigger a DM
  4. Web Chat: copy one line of embed code to your website

Train your menu bot

Upload your menu

Your menu is the brain of the bot โ€” the more detail you add, the smarter it gets.

  1. Go to Menu in the left sidebar
  2. Click "Add category" (e.g. Starters, Mains, Drinks)
  3. For each item: add name, price, photo, description, and available modifiers
  4. Set item availability by day and time slot (e.g. Breakfast only until 11 AM)
  5. Mark items as sold out with one click during service

Configure bot responses

Customise how the bot greets, confirms, and follows up with guests.

  1. Go to Bot Training in the left sidebar
  2. Edit the Welcome message โ€” introduced every time a new guest messages you
  3. Set the Order Confirmation template โ€” includes items, total, and pickup/delivery time
  4. Add custom FAQs: parking info, allergen questions, opening hours
  5. Enable "Suggest add-ons" to automatically upsell (e.g. "Would you like a dessert?")
  6. Set a fallback message for questions the bot can't answer

Set up order routing

Decide where confirmed orders go โ€” screen, printer, or POS.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Integrations
  2. Connect your Square POS โ€” free, with menu import (optional)
  3. Without POS: orders appear on your Orders board in real-time
  4. Enable browser notifications or the mobile PWA for instant order alerts
  5. Assign staff roles: Owner sees everything; Staff sees orders only

Run a test order end-to-end

Always test before your first service.

  1. Open WhatsApp on your personal phone
  2. Message your business number: "Hi, can I get a cheeseburger and a Coke?"
  3. Watch the bot parse the order and reply with a confirmation
  4. Check the Orders board โ€” your test order should appear within 2 seconds
  5. Mark it fulfilled to confirm the full workflow

  2. Add it to your Google Business profile, menu QR code, and Instagram bio
  3. Paste it in your WhatsApp status to let regulars know they can order by text
  4. Print the QR code in-store so dine-in guests can text future orders

Monitor and optimise

Use your analytics to keep growing.

  1. Check Analytics daily for order volume, popular items, and peak hours
  2. Use the Customers tab to see returning guests and send them a promo
  3. Review the inbox for unanswered questions to add to your FAQ
